ORGANISATION INFORMATION The Victorian Association of Performing Arts Centres supports a network of 60 professional performance venues across Victoria (with additional members in Tasmania, NSW, and ACT), representing a major part of our state’s cultural infrastructure. Each year, our member venues collectively: • Present 8,500+ performances on their stages. • Present an additional 8,000+ cultural events (exhibitions, films, workshops/classes). • Attract over 5.5m visitors. • Generate over $100m in box office revenue. • Employ over 3000 arts workers across management, administration, technical and production, box office and front of house, bar staff, and more. We support this network of venues through dedicated professional development and events for venue managers, technical managers, and box office & marketing staff. We drive the touring of performing arts product through the delivery of Showcase Victoria, our annual touring market, and represent our members to government at all levels.

PROGRAMMING OBJECTIVES

We program work into our annual touring market Showcase Victoria, which provides connection between artists, producers, and our network of venues. We program across all genres of the performing arts, and aim to profile a diverse range of work.

AUDIENCE

As we are a touring market, we are generally programming work to appeal to programmers and venue managers in subruban and regional performing arts centres, who are looking for content for their annual seasons.
