FESTIVAL INFO Nayri Niara is an Aboriginal owned and operated social enterprise creating amazing life changing experiences through connection to Country, Culture, Community, the Self and the Sacred.  The Nayri Niara Good Spirit Festival is a three-day gathering of music, ceremony, knowledge sharing & arts, held in the stunning cultural landscape that is lunawuni/Bruny Island, lutruwita/Tasmania.

The Festival is a powerful opportunity for Indigenous & non-indigenous people to share knowledge & ceremony, honouring ancient traditions while creating new ones. The Nayri Niara Good Spirit Festival hosts an amazing array of musicians, dancers, healers & teachers to explore & connect Indigenous, earth-based living, wellbeing & healing wisdom.

PROGRAMMING OBJECTIVES

To program an array of musicians, storytellers, dancers, healers & teachers over 3 days, to share,  explore & connect Indigenous and non-Indigenous stories, histories, wellbeing & healing wisdom.

AUDIENCE

Nayri Niara Good Spirit Festival has a capacity of 1500. Our loyal and growing audience are people who are seeking enriching community, cross-cultural and connective experiences. Our audience predominantly live in Australia, are all ages, are gender diverse, come from all walks of life and is very family friendly.

Warren is a Yuwaalaraay man who was raised in a small town called Goodooga in outback NSW.  He is an artist, builder, storyteller and musician and has been on of the cocreators of the Nayri Niara Good Spirit Festival since 2017.  He is also the creator and creative director of Tin Camp Studios - a healing space for sharing story, song and movement designed on dwellings and camps where many Aboriginal people lived, on the outskirts of town during the 20th Century.  Tin Camp Studios originated as a passion project  of the Nayri Niara Good Spirit festival "Our Way Home" mentee program.
