OVERVIEW

We take a show (or even just a seed of an idea) and get it out there to the right audience and beyond. We also show you how to do it yourself through our courses, workshops, and 1:1 mentoring. Oh, and it’s pronounced like ‘milky’ but spelled with an ‘e’.

MILKE also programs the Malthouse during Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Since 2016, Malthouse has been a south side hub during Melbourne International Comedy Festival, where you can eat – drink – laugh – repeat. Located within the contemporary arts precinct in Southbank, Malthouse is a home away from home for entertaining and surprising live experiences. It’s a place to connect and be a part of a community of artists and arts lovers. Be unafraid, be entertained, and be switched on.

PROGRAMMING OBJECTIVES

MILKE is always looking for new work in Comedy, Theatre and Cabaret. If you have a show you would like to take to the next step or an idea for one - get in contact with me, and let's have a chat!

For programming at the Malthouse, MILKE are looking for inventive comedy shows, show that tell a story, and go beyond what a typical comedy show may be. This could be stand up, comedy/physical theatre, clowning, musical, cabaret.

I’ve been behind the scenes on shows with big names, up-and-comers and everyone in between. From radio to comedy to theatre, and the likes of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to the Sydney Opera House. I run my own producing company MILKE - touring work nationally and internationally.  I also program the Comedy Festival season at Malthouse (as part of the Melb International Comedy Festival)/ I have creatively developed and produced work for the Sydney Opera House, Brisbane Powerhouse, Melbourne Theatre Company, Sydney Festival, Darwin Festival, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Venice Biennale, Brisbane Festival, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Adelaide Cabaret Festival, Melbourne International Arts Festival, The Arts Centre, Melbourne Fringe Festival, La Mama, and the Adelaide Fringe Festival to name but a few. I’m a current (and founding) board member of the Perth International Cabaret Festival, and I produce and coordinate the Golden Gibbo Award each year as part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
