THE BASICS:

Room 7 @ Grouse Melbourne is our charming lo-fi 40 seater adaptable venue suitable for comedy, cabaret, performance, experimental, and/or multidisciplinary art forms.

In 2025 Grouse Melbourne was awarded Venue of the Year by Melbourne Fringe.

For Melbourne Fringe 2026 (29 September - 18 October) we are currently programming 50-60 minute timeslots with up to 4 events per night and some weekend afternoons.

Current venue hire fee: $220+GST pre session, or 25% of Ticket Sales +GST (whichever is greater). This includes:

• 1 x Front of House human
• Lighting and basic Audio tech equipment
• 1 x tech operator
• 1 x hour tech rehearsal with operator.
• Up to 2 extra rehearsal hours in the space (without operator)
• General season venue marketing and promo support.

Please note: This loungeroom style theatrette has a small floor 'stage' area space and is best suited to stand up comedy and/or cabaret vibes that require little to no set.

• We are open to all length of season(s) durations and/or one off shows with the programming being a glorious puzzle so please get in contact with us direct if this form below doesn't fit your idea but you think the venue is for you.
