Building on many successful years as the southside hub for the Melbourne Fringe Festival, Fringe at Gasworks returns in 2026 with another dynamic program of independent performance and creative exploration.

Gasworks Arts Park is a vibrant arts precinct producing a range of high-quality arts programs, workshops, and activities for all ages. Situated in Albert Park, Melbourne, on the site of the former South Melbourne Gas Plant, Gasworks is just three kilometres from the CBD and the precinct houses four hectares of park, 15 resident artists, two theatres, three gallery spaces, a café, as well as function and workshop spaces.

The Gasworks Theatre (244 pax):

Includes a flexible black box performance space that features a sprung stage floor and a uniquely adjustable seating bank. This space can accomodate aerial rigging, is wheelchair accessible, and has a full lighting and sound package.

The Studio Theatre (62 pax):
