In 2021, Dancehouse is offering season fees for new or existing live dance projects to be presented in October, during the Melbourne Fringe, as part of their 2021 program.

What they offer:

• Either a 4 night season at Dancehouse in either the Sylvia Staehli Theatre or Upstairs Studio
• An upfront season fee of up to $1,000
• 50:50 Door split on ticket sales over $2500
• 6 hours studio time for bumpin and technical rehearsals with a Dancehouse Technician
• 6 hours studio time for dress rehearsal
• 10 hours additional rehearsal time in the lead up to your event
• Affordable space for additional rehearsal hours
• Access to the Dancehouse technical equipment, lighting stock and standard lighting rig
• Marketing support from Dancehouse and Melbourne Fringe
• Free Front of house, Back or house and Producing staff support from Dancehouse throughout the season
• Free Fringe Registration

Who is this for?

The EOI is open to Australian live works, events, or projects both existing and new that are outstanding both in their vision and capacity to imaginatively investigate choreographic territories as well as to connect to our contemporary society.

We welcome proposals for existing or in-development choreographic pieces (new projects in their final development stages), conceived to be performed live on stage at Dancehouse.

Choreographers who consider themselves to be established, mid-career or emerging are all welcome to apply.

Artists from any state are welcome to apply. Australian artists living interstate or overseas will be considered; but, for live outcomes priority will be given to artists residing in Victoria.
