Capacity: 250 standing, 150 seated
Our north-facing venue is bathed in natural light with blackout blinds throughout. CY Venue features climate control in every space, adjustable stage and venue lighting and a variety of furniture options for different event and booking needs.
Our venue is located on the Upper Ground level of Johnston Street and is accessible by ramp from the Collingwood Yards main entrance or by lift from the art deco entrance next to PBS. The stage and green room are accessible via a ramp.

CY Space is a versatile community room and activity space located on the upper ground level of the Johnston Street building at the Collingwood Yards. Adjacent to the Courtyard it is accessible via ramp from the main Johnston Street entrance. It is designed as a flexible and adaptable space for tenants and our neighbours.
CY Space is designed for tenant and community activation and to support local engagement across the Collingwood Yards. CY Space can be hired for exhibitions, workshops, presentations, meetings, rehearsals, pop-ups, panels, screenings and film/photo shoots. Equipped with a projector, speakers, A/C, block out blinds and seating for up to 40 people. There are fully accessible, ambulant and all gender bathrooms located next to it.

The Courtyard is a dynamic, high-capacity and multi-functional event space located in the centre of the Collingwood Yards precinct. The Courtyard is the ideal location for a range of activities including exhibitions, installations, performances, markets, showcases, festivals, live music and parties.
CY Courtyard can be hired as a single space or as part of precinct wide activations and can be hired in conjunction with our other venues including CY Space and CY Venue Courtyard hire can also include activation of the Circus Oz amphitheatre and shared thoroughfare for food trucks upon approval.
The Courtyard is a shared public space for all of our tenants and community to access but can still host ticketed events through the use of temporary barriers.
Whilst the space has no built in event infrastructure, some equipment can be hired from Collingwood Yards. We welcome activations and will work collaboratively with hirers, promoters and event managers to execute a range of engaging events.
