FESTIVAL INFO Bondi Festival is an arts festival for all ages, inviting audiences to experience live shows, play on our world-famous ice rink and look closer to find hidden Festival gems. In 2023, Bondi Festival will be returning to its original home within the newly-renovated Bondi Pavilion, comprising a 200 seat theatre as well as multiple pop-up venues within the building. We can’t wait to see you for our next winter festival.

PROGRAMMING OBJECTIVES

Bondi Pavilion 2023 will be programming within a range of venues, including:

AUDIENCE

A hugely diverse audience of eastern suburbs locals, inner west arts lovers, and domestic tourists. They're up for something new and something fun to give them a reason to leave the house in winter.

Rachel is a theatre director and Festival Director of Bondi Festival (previously Bondi Feast). The 2020 recipient of the Ensemble Theatre Sandra Bates Director’s Award and member of Melbourne Theatre Company’s 2019 Women in Theatre Program, she has worked as director, script assessor and dramaturg for Playwriting Australia and as a guest director and teaching artist at NIDA. Rachel was the Artistic Associate for the inaugural women’s theatre festival, Festival Fatale, produced by Women in Theatre and Screen; was the resident dramaturg for Red Line Productions’ ‘New Fitz’ new writing program, and from 2013-2015 was Associate Director at Rock Surfers Theatre Company.
